Edgewater Stonemasons was recently contracted to restore two Limestone columns as part of the ongoing revitalization of Lake Ontario Park in Kingston. The scope of work included removing each cap, as well as the four banding stones located underneath, and re-setting each stone in a heritage lime-based mortar. The Portland cement which had been used for previous repairs was removed and the remainder of the columns was pointed with the same heritage mix.
