The Highlander
This pair of Limestone pillars were constructed in the winter of 2013 at the entrance to The Highlander, a new condominium development on Highway 15 in the East end of Kingston.
The Wiarton-area Limestone is distinguishable by its natural earth tones, and clearly defined sedimentary beds. The stone was laid in a snecked ashlar pattern, and a custom buff-coloured mortar was used to complement the stone, and match the pre-cast concrete caps.
