LOUGHBOROUGH LAKE
This revitalized property on Loughborough Lake represents everything a cottage should be: It is a relaxing sanctuary for its busy owners, as well as an ideal place to gather with friends and family year round. When the 50 year old building was recently renovated, the owners decided to update the existing fireplace. The brick veneer was removed, and the fireplace was rebuilt with local rough-squared Limestone to suit the cottage's rustic setting. The reclaimed Hemlock barn beam is carried by two carved Limestone corbels, while the hearth is matching Limestone, cut in angled pieces to mirror the flat arch above the fireplace opening.
